Most cat lovers are familiar with the renowned cat behaviorist, Jackson Galaxy, right? I wanted to share his recent video discussing things you should steer clear of when it comes to your feline companions because I believe it’s essential information that isn’t always emphasized enough.
One of the reasons you rarely see my own cats featured on my blog over the past decade is because I’ve always regarded my cats as my children. I’d never expose them to harm or use them for attention on social media or anywhere else. The only instances I post pictures of my cats are for product reviews, where they are showcased in their natural environment, without any coercion.
Here are some additions to Jackson’s list of ‘things not to do with your cat’:
- Don’t adopt a cat or kitten with a disability solely for social media content. Cats with disabilities often require extra care, so please avoid exploiting them.
- Avoid dragging your cat around in search of likes, photos, and attention. It’s unfair to your cat.
- Resist joining viral trends (like the cats and cucumbers trend) at your cat’s expense. It’s simply not considerate.
- Don’t subject your cat to endless photoshoots or force them into posed scenarios for the sake of creating entertaining content.“
